8th October is “Read for the Record” Day, where people all over the world are reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar on the same day, to raise awareness of the importance of reading with children. This is a massive event which will be featured on The Today Show in America, with the photos from the event beamed across the world. Here in South Africa we’ve also played our part -Â 30 lucky children at The Little Treehouse, in Randburg, read the book together, coloured in and even received their very own copy!
